Coze 2.0 Simplifies AI Skill Creation and Monetization for Non-Engineers

Coze has introduced its 2.0 update, aiming to lower the barrier for individuals without extensive engineering backgrounds to develop and monetize AI skills. The update addresses common challenges in AI skill development, such as complex command-line interface (CLI) tool installations, debugging application programming interface (API) calls, and distributing finished products.

The platform also includes a new long-term planning feature designed to assist users in setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing relevant contextual support.
Coze Skill Store and Creation Tools
Coze 2.0 features an expanded skill store offering a range of official and community-contributed skills. These include tools for data processing, presentation generation, web page creation, and podcast production. Users can access these skills directly from the Coze homepage or browse the dedicated "Skill Store" section. The store hosts diverse applications, from Douyin video analysis to article writing and image/video generation.

The update also introduces a Coze programming platform, enabling users to develop web pages, applications, and workflows using natural language. This platform aims to simplify skill creation, bypassing the complexities often associated with traditional development environments. Users can access the Coze Programming interface from the left navigation bar, select "Skills," and begin creating.
For instance, a user can instruct the platform to generate multi-page presentation images based on text input, specifying image generation prompts. The platform is designed to integrate with Coze's built-in model services, such as Doubao and Seedream for image generation. For services not natively supported, users can provide API documentation and keys for integration.
The Coze Programming platform includes built-in Git functionality, automatically committing and backing up changes, allowing users to revert to previous versions of their skills. After initial generation, users can test skills within the platform and refine them using natural language commands. This iterative process allows for adjustments to aspects like image proportions or content based on test results.

Skills developed on Coze Programming can incorporate features such as dual ratio adaptation (e.g., 16:9 for presentations and 3:4 for social media), smart review processes that generate outlines for user confirmation, and multi-format output (e.g., images and PDF). The platform also offers an image preview component with editing tools for modifying text or erasing content directly within generated images.
For developers who have already created skills using Claude Code, Coze Programming supports direct upload of compressed skill files for testing and publication.
Skill Distribution and Monetization
Coze 2.0 provides a streamlined process for distributing and monetizing user-created skills. After deployment from the Coze Programming interface, skills can be found under "Coze Skill Store" > "My Skills" > "My Creations." From there, users can opt to list their skills in the Coze skill store, with options for monthly subscriptions.
The update aims to facilitate the monetization of specialized knowledge and processes, offering a platform for creators to share their AI-driven solutions.

Long-Term Planning Feature
Beyond skill development, Coze has introduced a long-term planning capability. This feature allows users to define broad goals and receive structured, actionable work plans. Users can initiate a plan by clicking the "Long-term Plan" button, inputting a goal, and then using the "One-click Optimization" feature to refine it. The system will then formulate a detailed plan, often requesting additional context such as personal metrics or time availability.
Once approved, the plan’s daily tasks are visible in a "Schedule" section, with options for daily check-ins and browser notifications.

New Year Benefits
In anticipation of the New Year, Coze has released official skills such as "New Year Picture Book" and "New Year Life Four-Grid." These tools enable users to create personalized digital content. Additionally, Coze offers the option to produce physical versions of these creations, which can be mailed to users.
For example, the "New Year Life Four-Grid" skill allows users to generate a four-grid image template, create a photo application, and then adjust photo positions and filters. Users can then order physical prints, with options to use gifted points or earn additional points by inviting new users.

The Coze 2.0 upgrade positions the platform as a comprehensive AI work partner, enabling both professional users to monetize their expertise and general users to enhance productivity through accessible AI tools.
