ValueCell Launches Open-Source AI Platform for Decentralized Financial Trading
ValueCell has introduced an open-source, multi-agent financial application designed to support decentralized stock and cryptocurrency trading. The platform aims to establish a community-driven ecosystem for investment agents, offering tools for stock selection, research, tracking, and automated trading. ValueCell emphasizes local data storage to secure sensitive user information.
Core Features and Integration
The platform's core functionalities are built around a multi-agent system. The DeepResearch Agent analyzes fundamental stock documents, providing data and summaries. A Strategy Agent supports multi-strategy intelligent trading across various crypto assets, executing user-defined strategies automatically. The News Retrieval Agent delivers personalized, scheduled news updates. Additional agents are reportedly under development.
ValueCell offers flexible integration capabilities, supporting multiple large language model providers including OpenRouter, SiliconFlow, Azure, OpenAI-compatible services, Google, OpenAI, and DeepSeek. It incorporates market data from the US, Hong Kong, and China markets, as well as the cryptocurrency market. The platform is compatible with mainstream agent frameworks like Langchain and Agno via its A2A protocol, facilitating research and development integration. For trading, it connects to exchanges such as OKX and Binance, with built-in security features.
Getting Started and Trading Operations
New users can download the ValueCell application for MacOS or Windows from its GitHub releases page or the official website, valuecell.ai. Initial setup requires configuring a preferred model provider.
For real-time trading, users must add their AI model API Key via the web user interface and set up API credentials for supported exchanges like Binance, HyperLiquid, OKX, and Coinbase. Strategies can then be created by combining AI models with exchange connections. Users can monitor and control these strategies in real-time. The platform currently supports contract trading, with spot trading implemented as 1X contracts, requiring a balance in the user's contract account.
Supported Exchanges and Security Measures
ValueCell supports several cryptocurrency exchanges, with varying levels of testing:
Binance: Fully tested for the international site (binance.com) using USDT-M contracts. Users need sufficient USDT balance and must apply for an API key with IP whitelisting.
Hyperliquid: Fully tested, using USDC as margin currency. Authentication requires a main wallet address and an API wallet private key. Market orders are converted to IoC limit orders, and a minimum trade of 10U is required.
OKX: Fully tested, requiring an API Key, Secret, and Passphrase for USDT-margined contracts.
Coinbase: Partially tested for USDT-margined contracts, with Coinbase International not yet supported.
Gate.io, MEXC, Blockchain: Partially tested for USDT-margined contracts, requiring API Keys and Secrets.
ValueCell emphasizes that only leverage/contract trading is currently supported, necessitating a sufficient balance in perpetual futures accounts. The application stores API keys locally on the user's device, not transmitting them to third parties. Users are advised to keep API keys secure and reset them regularly.
Developer Engagement
ValueCell invites developers to join its Discord discussion group to contribute to the community roadmap and future development. The platform is Python-based, featuring a front-end operation page and multi-platform application support. Developers can clone the repository from GitHub and run the application using provided scripts for Linux/MacOS or Windows PowerShell. The web UI is accessible via http://localhost:1420.
