Tencent Meeting has updated its AI hosting capabilities, introducing new templates for AI meeting minutes, including an "Interview Assistant" and "Scholar's Notes." This expansion follows a previous update that addressed connectivity issues for users on high-speed trains and airplanes.

The new features aim to streamline information processing in various communication scenarios. While conventional meeting minute tools often offer hundreds of transcription templates, Tencent's approach simplifies these into a few specialized categories.

Enhancing Interview Dynamics with AI

The Interview Assistant mode is designed to support both interviewers and interviewees. For interviewers, the AI captures and organizes core statements from candidates, and can suggest follow-up questions based on the real-time conversation. This function eliminates the need for interviewers to manually type notes during the discussion.

For interviewees, the AI acts as a "coach," providing prompts to stay on topic and interpreting the interviewer's underlying assessment points. This is intended to alleviate pressure and help candidates perform optimally in high-stress environments. The system aims to amplify an individual's capabilities rather than facilitate "cheating" with AI.

Streamlining Knowledge Absorption with Scholar's Notes

Tencent Meeting's "Scholar's Notes" template is tailored for one-to-many knowledge transfer meetings, such as press conferences. The tool can capture all audio played on a computer and provides real-time subtitles for foreign language content.

In these settings, where speakers often present numerous new concepts and data rapidly, Scholar's Notes clarifies complex information and highlights key points. It filters out pleasantries and filler words, focusing on extracting academic knowledge from lengthy audio, thereby reducing cognitive load.

Improving Everyday Meeting Efficiency

For common meeting scenarios, such as weekly team updates, Tencent Meeting's Yuanbao assistant distinguishes individual discussion points and emotional tones. Crucially, it identifies keywords with action instructions within chaotic discussions and automatically generates a clear to-do list.

Unlike traditional meeting minutes that simply transcribe conversations, the updated AI meeting minutes offer a more supportive role. They reduce the burden of manual recording and mental effort, allowing participants to focus on communication. This approach highlights AI's potential to enhance human-to-human interactions by amplifying individual strengths.
