The Skill integrates with a broader content production system and offers two primary methods for image generation: through the Skill itself or by using a direct prompt.
Key Features and Functionality
The document illustrator Skill provides several functionalities:
Batch Image Generation: It can analyze documents in various formats within a designated folder and generate images for each section.
Resolution Options: Users can select image output resolutions of 2K or 4K.
Aspect Ratio Control: The Skill supports aspect ratios of 16:9 and 3:4.
Cover Image Generation: It includes an option to create summary-style cover images.
Summarized Results: The Skill displays summarized results for user confirmation, ensuring all critical information is included.

Illustrations for an article on AI programming concepts by Cursor, for example, were generated using this Skill. It is designed to be particularly useful for platforms such as Xiaohongshu, WeChat articles, and Douyin image posts. The Skill currently offers three built-in styles: ticket style, vector illustration, and gradient glass card style, allowing users to choose according to their preferences.
Installation and Usage
To install the Skill, users need to open a terminal and execute the command npx skills add https://github.com/op7418/Document-illustrator-skill.
Following installation, users must configure their AI Studio API Key in the .env file, obtainable from aistudio.google.com/api-keys. Billing must be enabled for the API key, as the Skill utilizes Nano Banana Pro. Once configured, users can interact with the Skill in Claude Code by typing: "Help me use the /document-illustrator Skill to generate illustrations for the document named @"document name"". The Skill will then prompt for additional options to customize image generation.

For those who prefer not to use the Skill, a direct prompt is available. This prompt, originally released in March for code generation, can also be adapted for image generation, demonstrating the versatility of the Nano Banana Pro model.
Direct Prompt for Image Generation
The prompt guides the generation of a Chinese cover poster based on specific design and content requirements, avoiding large blocks of text.
Design Style Requirements:
Font Hierarchy: Utilize 3-4 distinct font sizes, with keywords in the largest size. The main title font should be more than three times larger than subtitles and introductions, employing a grid layout akin to high-end magazines.
Proportional Harmony: Maintain a balanced relationship between text and decorative elements.
Visual Flow: Ensure clear visual pathways to direct the reader's eye.
Digital Minimalist Ticket Style: Adopt a design reminiscent of digital tickets.
Black and White Contrast: Employ a high-contrast black and white color scheme for visual impact.
Ticket-like Layout: Structure the design similar to boarding passes or electronic vouchers.
Geometric Partitioning: Precisely divide the screen into orderly information blocks.
Negative Space: Use extensive negative space to enhance transparency and elegance.
Eastern and Western Aesthetics: Combine traditional Chinese typography with modern Western design.
Industrial Design Elements: Incorporate commercial elements such as registered trademark symbols and barcodes.
Digital Interface Mapping: Simulate information presentation methods found in electronic screens or application interfaces.
Text Typography Style:
Mixed Chinese and English: Integrate Chinese and English fonts for a cultural fusion effect.
Clear Size Hierarchy: Large main titles with delicate, small subtext.
Multi-directional Arrangement: Include horizontal, vertical, and diagonal text layouts.
Precise Spacing: Carefully calculated character and line spacing for readability.
Symbolic Decoration: Integrate parentheses, underlines, and arrows into text design.
Font Mix: Alternate between serif and sans-serif fonts to enhance hierarchy.
Formatted Time Information: Standardized date formats with directional indicators.
Visual Element Style:
Functional Indicators: Use arrows and asterisks for visual guidance and emphasis.
UI Element Borrowing: Flat application of digital interface elements like "CHECK IN" and "@".
Borders and Dividers: Simple lines to separate information areas.
Minimalist Graphic Symbols: Use minimalist symbols to convey core information.
Handwritten Embellishment: Incorporate handwritten elements, such as "Romantic," to add a human touch.
Directional Visual Flow: Arrange elements to create a left-to-right, top-to-bottom reading rhythm.
Negative Space Utilization: Treat blank areas as active design elements.
